If i install Rinehart exhaust on my Harley Ultra Classic 2003 do i need to do settings to the engine?

I just replied back to your email….

What are the risks on removing exhaust baffles on a harley and leaving them out?

  2. it would be beneficial if you did. it’s stated on some exhausts that no recalibration is needed. This is not true of the freer flowing exhaust systems. Street legal slip ons fine, but the rineharts aren’t what HD calls street legal. Get recalibrated and the difference will be noticable

  3. Minor exhaust changes can be compensated for by the fuel injection itself. Given the information that you have a 2003 Ultra and they’re known for getting a bit warm anyway during slow speed use in hot weather, I wouldn’t chance it. Have your FI remapped by someone who knows what they’re doing. A Harley that runs too hot and will ping under only medium throttle is going to be a problem in short order. Your new exhaust moving more air keeping your bike running even leaner than the FI perameters are set for by the factory will do just that. Don’t chance an engine on a 28K bike on a $200 - $250 (?) remap.

Seen it done too many times. Penny wise and pound foolish.
